London Fish And Chips - Hayward

First let me say that I don't go out and eat fish n' chip very often. This was the first time coming to this place. I know that in general, these places are generally on the more expensive side, but after getting food from here, I'm more okay with it. I picked up food from here and when they handed me the bag, it was surprisingly heavy, so it felt like I was getting a lot to eat, which I was happy with, of course. We ordered the 5 piece fish, calamari, mushrooms, and fries. At home when opening up the food, I was surprised at how large the pieces of fish were. They were at least 10 to 12 inches long. The batter was crispy and good sized pieces of fish. I ate just one fish and I could have been done. The calamari had a lot of batter on it, but they gave good amount of pieces. The mushrooms were good and had pretty standard flavor and texture. The other surprise was the fries. We ordered a small size of fries and we pretty much got a whole plate full of fries. I definitely was not expecting that much. Overall, I enjoyed it- and we still have leftovers!

Horrible. All breading, hardly any fish or scallops. I ordered a five piece fish, ten piece scallops and it was greasy, flavorless and some of the fish meat smelled like cat urine. The scallops were little yellow dried out old pieces, each scallop was smaller than my pinky fingers tip. They were covered in five times the breading it needed and it was all just disgusting. The tartar sauce was fine but after spending seventy seven dollars no one ate more than a single bite and almost every bit of food had to be thrown in the garbage. Complete waste of money and beyond disappointing

Omg omg!!!! Came super fresh super hot. The zucchini omg was da bomb and fish and mushrooms. This by far the best fish place in the Bayarea Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
