Awesome place to hang out and have fun.. Food is great!
We visited Andre's of Citrus Hills (CLOSED) back in the 1990s when much of the surrounding neighborhood had not yet been built. Despite its closure, the upscale dining experience at Andre's was worth the trip, reminiscent of the Brown Derby. The restaurant even had a candy dish filled with Andre's Mints. We dined there twice and enjoyed the fantastic view. However, it seems that the restaurant has since been converted into a fitness club, reflecting the changing needs of the Citrus Hills country club's membership. According to a June 27, 2003 St. Petersburg Times article by Jorge Sanchez, the decision was made to reallocate the dining space to accommodate a state-of-the-art physical fitness facility. The country club's banquet hall, the Hampton Room, will continue to host events, and the lounge and Rose and Crown restaurant will remain open for breakfast and lunch, respectively.
We enjoyed the delicious food and lively music at this restaurant, which also has a dance floor. We ordered the Lobster Dip with French bread baguette and a Key Lime Martini, both of which were delicious.
