Service was good and the food was amazing. I had a lamb, sun-dried tomato and pea pie with salad. The cafe itself was really funky and there was interesting items for sale inside.
This place is great! Quirky cafe that also sell housemade chocolates, random decor, household items, teas, jams and gifts. Plenty of Indoor and outdoor dining available. The food tasty, was reasonable priced and the portion size was great I couldn't finish it. Their iced chocolates was by far one of the best I've tasted. Highly recommended.
We had a party of 4 people. 3 chose the toasted focacia with chicken, pinenut pesto. I had the lamb, honey, cashew nut salad with raiata dressing. Everyone was happy with their meals. We tried the passionfruit butter sponge which was also nice. The salted cashew nut chocolate was nice but a little much salt on the outer layer for my liking. A lovely atmosphere with gourmet chutneys etc for sale. Beautiful surroundings with homeware and craft shop nearby. I would recommend a visit to this village and this cafe.
Regulat diner at the chocolate cottage. Its the first place i take any out of towners. When the sun is shining there is no more beautiful place to have lunch. The whole area is absolutely beautiful, lush green countryside and quirky little gift shops. The food is avsolutely to die for. I usually get the quiche of the day which is always an amazingly unsual combination and comes with a huuuge yummy side salad. One occasion it was pear and blue cheese which i loved. On this occasion i had turkey cranberry and brie. Also pretty good. Many occasions i have had the grilled chicken salad which is also amazing. I have never seen a dish leave the kitchen that didnt look super delicious. Favourite place in high fields for sure. Only complaint is that there are always stacks of people
