Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe had a bad experience on the eve and wanted something else after a long walk in the old part of Hildesheim with a view of the magnificent churches. This place is directly opposite St. Andreas. My wife had delicious turbot filled with Chanterelles and Ravioli... with Porcini. The freshness of the fish, the sharpness of their skin and the bright yellow of the Chanterelle were a tonic after the eve of the marketplace with dead gray mushrooms and gnocchi. I chose fetters with rubbed truffles: a brilliant, aromatic choice, although I say it myself. You really know how to make pasta here. Classic deserts: panna cotta and tiramisu any perfect, the tiramisu moist and shot through with maraschino? `and the panna cotta covered easily in fragrant seasonal fruits compote. Beverages: a glass of Gavi di Gave and a large beer and the bill came to €63.50, which is not bad at all the marketplace meal came over €80, just as always clear from the most prominent places. Authentic kitchen.
Food was OK, but staff was very rude. We were traveling. I wanted a light lunch. My wife was not hungry. When I ordered a single small pizza, the waiter snatched the plate and silverware away from my wife's place. When I shared a slice...with my wife, the waiter clearly expressed his disapproval. I even heard him discussing with another waiter his dissatisfaction that other guests had ordered only a lunchtime salad. We have traveled in Germany for more than four decades. My wife is from Germany. This is one of the very few instances of rude service we have ever had in Germany.
Upon finding two hairs in her meal, my friend complained (and showed them) to one of the waiting staff. Instead of the usual procedure of apologising profusely, immediately replacing the meal or offering a reduction from the bill, he walked away claiming he couldn 't see...them. After actually having to find one of the waiting staff again, my friend complained once more, literally taking the thick, long, black hairs out of her cannelloni and showing them to another waiter. The waiter took the plate (yet again with no word of an apology) and around 10 minutes later waved his hand dismissively from the other side of the room and blurted bezhale nicht . When the bill finally arrived, my friend was told that the Chef claimed she had eaten nearly all of her meal (which was simply not true), and that she would have to pay. Presumably expecting a wave of gratitude, the waiter explained that he would subsidise the meal from his own pocket. We simply cannot believe that people working in such an industry can allow themselves to behave like this, and although the food was otherwise admittedly acceptable, their behaviour certainly wasn 't.
Alte Münze is an Italian restaurant although the name does not suggest that. The place used to be a mint. The food is typical Italian and of high quality. The waiters are educated in their profession. Which is not always the case in many restaurants
This restaurant has a small card with many meat / fish dishes. they offer only a vegetarian dish - pasta and should therefore not be called vegetarian-friendly. we were there with a group of eight people. two of us had a gluten allergy. the waiter was asked for gluten-free meals. his answer: no signore, everything okay with our food. he obviously didn't understand any stone. When he asked for vegetarian eating, he looked at us as if we were joking. he was asked for Italian salat, but he said that they don't offer salat as a court. Instead, he tried to push us to some offered that might have been the most profitable for the restaurant. all in all, this visit was very unsatisfactory. I cannot recommend this restaurant.
