After a visit to Himeji Castle, we stopped by for lunch and ordered the falafel salad set and the au gratin set with apple juice, coffee, and a slice of American cherry pie. Everything was incredibly tasty, and we also grabbed a "cranberry" (which was actually raspberry) muffin to go. We were impressed by the well-implemented pandemic safety measures as well.
This restaurant is a bit of a bike ride away, but it's worth it for its charming interior and exterior. The food is tasty and the portions are generous. Lunch is served from noon to 3pm, but even if you miss that window, there are still plenty of options like teas, coffees, juices, smoothies, and muffins. There are seating options including tables, a bar, and counter seats, but the coziest spot is the caves where you can kick off your shoes, relax on soft pillows, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, mood music, and delicious food.
The cafe has a tranquil and natural atmosphere, with lovely decor that is perfect for relaxation. The food was exceptional- we tried the tofu peanut butter sandwich and the organic vegetable vegan curry, which had a hint of basil and was reminiscent of a Thai curry. Both dishes were delicious and came with healthy sides like salad, soup, and veggies. I highly recommend this restaurant.
A must go to the caffe in himeji! so delicious eating in a sweet and cozy environment! after visiting the burg of celeji we stopped on the afternoon and ordered the falafel salat set and the au gratin with a pickle juice, coffee and a piece of American cherry cake. everything was really delicious, and we ended up going with a “cranberry” (which turns out to be a heavenly) muffin as well. we were also very impressed that the pandemic security measures were implemented well.
Most people in the city know this place as a cave café their sitting place is very funny and makes me like a child on adventure. it is very cozy and every time makes me a nod. not to mention that this is also one of the few places in iseji that serves legit vegan meals and desserts. cool thing about this place is that they constantly change the menu (except the Taco rice, that is their regular meal) depends on a season so that they always find something different and new. hands down the best vegan-friendly tempo to eat in himeji. love love love love you
