Normally this place would be full of customers but I guess due to the coronavirus scare people aren't as willing to go out. There were only two other customers in the restaurant the entire time we were there. I also felt like our waiter didn't even want to be there and he seemed so sad when he was serving us. I felt bad for him. The lady who was at the cash was very enthusiastic, though.
First, I am trying to try native Japanese cuisine, broaden my horizons, etc. However when you try their pizza or BBQ you will agree, when you are in the presence of perfection, you might as well indulge. I am coming back here every night while I am here. Hands down the best deep dish pizza I have ever eaten. I want more but I am so full. Their BBQ spare rib is as authentic as actual texan BBQ. Having tried both I speak from experience. Their alcohol is strong and leaves me feeling buzzed even now, and I barely if ever feel it. Customer service was excellent and diligent. Environment was chill and homey. Many English speakers for those that don't speak Japanese. Come here. Enjoy it while you can. This is the ideal classic bar feel and I wish I had a place like this back home.
The Chicago style pizza really is Chicago Style! Best pizza I've had in this hemisphere! My wife's avocado burger was excellent and her fries were amazing (I had one). Highly recommended!
Pizza and the atmosphere are great. The beers here were unfortunately also diacetyl bombs just like the Hiroshima neighborhood brewery.
Mediocre experience. We had high hopes given good reviews and food photos. My husband’s beer was on the verge of being bad (I didn’t try it as I’m pregnant). Onion rings were good. Nothing special but fine. I don’t know what ribs the other reviewers got, but ours were obviously old and reheated in the microwave (I could see this happen from our table). Chewy and tough. Wings were good-their hot sauce is like a mix of BBQ and buffalo, which was a little sweet for me but that’s a personal preference. Homemade ranch was great. The pizza sauce was also on the sweet side, but the crust was very good. Chicken sandwich was bland and quite overpriced. Overall, there were some good items, but I would not recommend anyone visit here. If you’re craving American or Tex Mex in Hiroshima, visit Cantina 23 just a few blocks away.
