Eat here as part of the trip to Iceland with Smyril Line. You have a view of the harbor, but mostly about port areas of encryption. The quality of breakfast was very good. Good care!
This restaurant is really poor. There is absolutely not ambition at all. The menu is very small and unappealing. We ordered grilled pork chops and we did get grilled pork chops, but they forgot to say on the menu that the pork chops were smoked and they were very salty. I was very hungry and had not seen anything ells appealing in the menu, so I ate mine in spite of the salt, but it was too much for my wife, so she returned. The waiter said that he would talk to the cooks and they would suggest something ells. After about 20 minutes we stated to wander if they had forgotten us, which was the case. The waiter admitted that he had forgotten us and was going to run to the kitchen to ask them to make a new portion of the pork chops. we declined the offer as we expected it was due to the smoking of the chops, that they were so salty. The interior of the restaurant is like they had been to couple of garage sales and bought what they could get. Not thinking at all, that things should fit together. The same was for the cutlery. There were four different patterns on the table. The wine was served in very nice Riedel glasses but the water was served in promotional glasses. There are very few restaurants in Hirtshals and that is probably the only reason that this restaurant exists. I would really recommend that, if food is more then a stomach fill for you, then I would recommend that you make an effort to find an alternative restaurant
The menu is very limited. I choose the steak was good, the fries were very salty. The service was good.
Although the restaurant menu is not large it is adequate enough in that it truly has something for everyone. I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy visiting fish country and enjoyed one of the best steak dinners in an area where the sun doesn’t set until about 10:30 at night, seriously, you can still work on your tan at 9 o’clock at night. The atmosphere in the restaurant is what you make of it, you go in good spirits and you will thoroughly enjoy your evening. The panoramic views when the sun is setting is incredible, truly breathtaking and one of a kind. The staff is super friendly and engaging and I’m going to give a shout out to my new friends Christopher and the two gentlemen named Thomas, they were awesome, engaging, accommodating and thoughtful. We asked them to please bring the chef to our table so we could extol on him or her how exquisite and beautiful the food looked and tasted but alas he or she had departed for home at the late hour we were still there. I highly recommend this restaurant it is truly one of a kind.
