Ordered the Huli chicken plate to go. HUGE portion. Enough to feed 4 or 5 people. But I think therein lies the problem. It must have been old chicken as when we went to eat it , it was salty, chewy, and had no real Huli-Huli flavor. I have never had fast food chicken thigh meat from a restaurant that was this chewy. Only gave two stars for the huge portion and good service, or would have given one star.
Big portions, great taste! My go to spot for hawaiian food! Love their Mac salad, chicken katsu, and huli chicken.
This place could win an award for the worst food in OC. If you purchase here and find it inedible, the owner will not refund or replace your meal. Steer clear of this establishment!
I only enjoyed the chicken and macaroni salad at this restaurant. Everything else was a disappointment, especially the fried chicken. I would not recommend it. The chicken was extremely greasy and not crispy at all, almost strange in texture. It was flaky and would easily fall apart when picked up, making it difficult to eat. The beef was tough and hard to chew, and my sister's burger was also not impressive. On the bright side, the portions were generous, with one combo plate easily feeding 2-3 people. Despite the letdown, the chicken was delicious and I would consider returning just for that and some rice.
Are you in search of generous portions? Look no further. Even if you're not as hungry as a sumo wrestler after a match, the mini meal should do the trick. But why stop there? Go for the BBQ combo, eat your fill, and save the leftovers for later.
