I had the seafood pasta and my wife had all the fried snapper. we also had the drunk chorizokäse dip, corn-chowder and the wobble soup. Cheese dip got the lowest score in the group. was not very warm, and was just a note. everything else was quite at the top. the fish was nicely fried, and it was a big size. the pasta needed salt, but was still delicious. both suppen were amazing, only very small. I'm glad I got this in the hotel for the next three.
I was nervous to eat here because of some of the one star reviews, but on a Monday night it was hard to find a good restaurants n't in town that was open and doing outdoor dining. Plus, I'm a little exhausted after a day of swimming and watching my kids swim. So we have it a chance. We loved: The calimari The SoCal sliders happy hour menu The fish tacos happy hour menu The buffalo wings happy hour menu The swordfish sandwich my partner got this and enjoyed it The whole fried bass with tostones. Fish was perfect, fresh crunchy greens and radishes on top were delicious. I wish there had been a different sauce on the side for the tostones. Not sure what the green stuff was. A fresh chimichurri or salsa or garlic cream sauce would have gone well with the tostones. Kiddos wanted max and cheese, but were not fans of the sauce. Restaurant max and cheese for kids is often a miss for mine. They either want boxed Mac and cheese Annie's or they want homemade with a crispy crust. The type that grown ups like. The waitress was amazing because she noticed that they had a lot of Mac and cheese leftover as she brought me the bill, and asked if they liked it and I said eh not really but no big deal and she comped them. This was one of the first things that has been a highlight for me at this resort it's really more a treat for my kids than for me, given their ages and how crowded it's been, so there has been no reading by the pool . So big props to her! Setting is really beautiful outside until they turn the tvs on, but luckily no sound. Perfectly heated with plenty of heaters. My only other suggestion for this place is that they up their non alcoholic beer game. Some options from Athletic Brewing company, or Lagunitas would be nice. We're debating whether to spend our last night here, but the limited menu and neither of us are big meat eaters is giving me pause. Maybe I'll see if they can do a few tweaks to a menu item for me, and make plain pasta for the kids. Fingers crossed!
Ok, considering that most visitors here are in vacation mode, the ratings should skew towards higher. We had a fun time here. The 7 of us 4 adults and 3 kids went in for a late dinner having just arrived at the hotel after a gruesome day of driving. The server was beyond friendly and funny. I can't remember his name but he was simply awesome. Customized menus for the kids, brought in dessert from the cafe next door because they weren't selling any, good beer recommendations and drinks delivery, etc.Food was also awesome. Kid's meals were large and heartily cooked. The salad was well prepared. No complaints whatsoever. Will definitely return.
Foods were really good except Tagliatelle noodles were a little bit over cooked. Calamari was really good
The entire staff was above and beyond..the Bartender Trey made me some cool drinks his own creations. The entire staff made a point to be funny and create a fun atmosphere. Despite them running around helping a dozen people they were attentive and made sure I was always being taken care of. Recommend the happy hour sliders they were a perfect bite to have a few drinks with and finish out the day.
