Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónOnce again, the service was slow. I decided to try the midweek roast for £6, as I had eaten here a few times before. I booked for 6:30pm, but my daughter tried to book at the same time and was told it was too busy, so they could only do 5:45pm. When we arrived at 6:15pm, the restaurant was not very full, with only a table of about 12 - half of which were children, my daughter's family of four, one single male, and about 10 empty tables. It seems they struggle to handle a busy dinner service, and I can only imagine the revenue they are missing out on. Our dinner was not served until 7:20pm, after a 50-minute wait, and the portion sizes were small. We all left feeling hungry. I have tried to support this pub as it is local, but I will not be returning for food.
This pub is a wonderful spot for lunch. The atmosphere is pleasant and the food is delicious. My stepfather couldn't stop praising the freshly made gravy. I ordered the chicken wrap with chunky chips which was absolutely delicious. My mother had the scampi and we couldn't find a single fault with it.
As always, the Sunday carvery at this restaurant is wonderful. There is plenty of meat for the price, making it a great value. This is definitely a regular spot for Steve and his friends. Thank you!
Absolutely outstanding meal, thoroughly enjoyed. The best carvery we've had in years, definitely recommended and will be going back.
I went in to use the toilet and a member of staff started shouting at me , she said i had to be accompanied by an adult but i explained to her how i just needed to **** and she started an argument and went on to ask if i could read and then kicked us out
