Benugo Clerkenwell - Islington

It’s not the most exciting place to eat. But all the sandwiches are freshly made with salads bowls also being offered. However it does provide a fresh and healthy lunch or breakfast. Should you desire one.

As others have said below, service is very poorly organised. You have to order your lunch in one area, then you have to join a longer queue to pay for it, finally you wait around wondering what's going on until your number is called. It all takes a long time and is much more chaotic than it needs to be. I popped in for a morning coffee on three occasions in the last week or so and every time the staff have been moody and palpably miserable, which is off-putting to say the least. I have been getting my caffeine fixes from elsewhere as a result.

Good sandwiches and daily change in hot dish, sometimes overwhelmed staff and long lines. Come early for lunch. Need to improve bread selection.

I used to go to Benugo every day for my green tea. However, since they put the prices up by more than 40% I've stopped. Also, I'm fed up with the poorly organised service which means that even at quiet times you can end up waiting ages to be served or to receive your drinks. At busy times forget it.

Met a friend here for coffee at lunchtime. Definitely will be back! Coffee was great, nice atmosphere for chatting and chilling.
