Captain D's - Jacksonville

I can't speak for every CD location, but my experience here was fantastic. The service was exceptionally friendly, and the food was fresh and exceeded my expectations. Overall, it felt very much like a fine dining experience—during lunch, no less! I want to thank the wonderful staff who contributed to such an enjoyable experience.

I won't be returning based on how my food was prepared. The bread was soggy and the dish looked like a piece of fish with rice stuck to it. Seriously? It didn't resemble the pictures at all.

I visited this restaurant three times—once at 8:00 a.m., again at 8:05, and then at 8:15. Despite them being open until 10:00 p.m., I found out they had run out of grilled fish after 8:00 p.m. on December 20, 2013. There was no explanation provided for this. Is there a cut-off time for ordering barbecue fish each day?

A worker met me outside to ask what I wanted because they were from almost everything... then I ordered a few things they had, 20 minutes later I made it to the window to ask what my order was. Then they put it together. Very poor. It looks like this side of the city, there are always problems with the staff and camp. The more they are paid, the less they want to work

This is the catfish and shrimp combo I just ordered; I ate one hush puppy. Can you even see the tiny piece of catfish?
