This has got to be the best place I have ever had a Doner Kebab Sandwich. The taste was so original I almost felt like I was back in the streets of Istanbul plus they make their breads daily from scratch! I love the fact that it is located on the beach and very easy to access and need I mention the amazing view of the Dubai Eye. They really deserve my 5 stars!

Doner is the most popular street food in Turkey like many other parts of the middle eastern countries. What I like most about Tadi Doner is the idea of having a nearby doner (shawarma) place with quite original taste and within a walking distance. It is located in the heart of JBR near the cinema and it is next to another Turkish street food place called simit sarayi. The location is thus great to reach. I ordered doner wrap which comes in a bread called lavas. They prepare the lavas from dough then bake it in front of your eyes in their special fire place. The taste is real doner but some modifications are needed. First of all they wrap the doner wrap in an aluminum kind of foil before serving and since bread is hot; it gets kind of wet until you eat. That’s why bread loses its crunchiness. This is a terrible idea to use this aluminum foil. Secondly, the meat needs more marination. Even some more salt would be great. Thirdly their sides are nice in variety; a plate of pickles, fries and another plate of salad. Pickles and fries were great. I ordered an ayran as drink and it was delicious and presentation was great as well in a traditional copper cup. Staff and service was good. I believe with an extra marination and without using aluminum foil in wrap; they can double the taste. Still above average and recommended in jbr area.

Doner is a Turkish street food that is very popular all over the world. I really liked the fact that they have both outdoor indoor seating. Outdoor seating has a beautiful view of the beach and Ain Dubai Dubai's own Ferris Wheel! . It's pleasant to sit outside and enjoy the weather view during winters. If you are seated inside, you can see that they make fresh Lavas doner wrap in front of you in the Tandoor like fire oven. I absolutely loved their lentil soup. We had the freshly made doner inside the restaurant itself as the seating was full outside. it came with sides of pickles, fries and a salad. Everything tasted good. I felt that the doner needed a bit of seasoning salt . We called for Laban which came in a traditional copper tumbler and it tasted refreshing. We ended our meal with Katmer. It is a Turkish dessert and it was one of the light as well as a delicately sweet dessert I have ever had. It had layers of crisp dough with clotted cream and pistachios and it was topped off with a scoop of vanilla ice scream.
