Himalaya - Kassel

German: Neben veganen Optionen auf der Speisekarte gibt es mittags den Businesslunch mit täglich zwei veganen Speisen, dazu Reis und Naanbrot, Dessert oder Espresso. Es ist immer schön angerichtet und sehr schmackhaft. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen kommt rasch.

Das Restaurant hat ein gehobenes Preisniveau und dementsprechend auch die Einrichtung. Meine Erwartungen an das Restaurant waren hoch. Die Vorspeisen (Pakoras, Samosas) waren tatsächlich sehr lecker. Allerdings waren die Hauptgerichte nicht dem Preis angemessen. Meine Okraschoten schwammen im Öl und hatten keinen Geschmack. Auch die Gerichte meiner Begleiter schmeckten eher fade.

If you are looking for a really good indian restaurant in Kassel then here you go! The food is amazing and the service is really nice. I just did not like the atmosphere too much it is a bit to chic for me. But everything else was just perfect!

The restaurant has a fairly elevated price level, accordingly is the facility. my expectations to the restaurant were high. the appetizers pakoras, samosas were also really delicious. the main courts were, however, by no means equal to the price. my oasis thrown into the oil and tasted nothing. also the dishes of my companions tasted rather fad. updated from the previous review on dosday august 18, 2015

Better later than never: For Christmas I visited Kassel and must say that the Himalaya is a restaurant that should have visited all. Normally I'm not the guy who likes to try new ones and order them on recommendation, but by the great advice of Fr. Iglesias I have seduced myself and not regretted! The whole visit was an experience.. the music, the smell of Indian spices in the restaurant, the beautiful ambience, the super service and the great food. Again!
