I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this Italian restaurant in the suburbs. The food truly takes center stage here. For our appetizer, we ordered the calamari, which came with fried shrimp and zucchini—a nice touch, but I wished it had a bit more crunch, as I prefer my fried calamari to be crispy. For our main courses, we enjoyed the bolognese and the truffle pasta served from a cheese wheel, both of which were excellent. The pasta being served from the cheese wheel is definitely a sight to behold; just thinking about it makes my mouth water. For dessert, we had the cannoli, which was enjoyable. The atmosphere was rather lackluster, though; the music consisted of modern pop song covers, and the decor left much to be desired. However, the service was outstanding.
For our main dish, we shared the spaghetti pescatora. The sauce was AMAZING, with just the right amount of spice, and the clams, scallops, and shrimp were the highlight, especially the scallops. The calamari and mussels were delicious too. They were exceptionally generous with the seafood, offering more than one piece in every bite. I was so eager to dig in that I forgot to take a photo until after we had started eating—what you see is just half of the serving! We're thrilled to have discovered this Italian restaurant and believe it will soon become one of our favorites!
The food was pretty good. The service was very slow and the restaurant was quite loud. But the servers were attentive and polite.
A restaurant such as this should have a stamp of personality, charisma and pizzaz! But it really doesn’t?! It’s a room quite nicely decorated in a strip center but lacks what all good restaurants need ambience!!!
