The restaurant informed us that they had run out of crab legs, but our waitress was incredibly sweet and accommodating. She offered to make us a crab sandwich instead, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much crab was packed into it. My sister and I shared the sandwich, and it was both filling and absolutely delicious. I find myself dreaming about that crab sandwich! The staff's kindness truly made our experience special, and I will definitely return if I'm ever in Alaska again!
One of my friends tried the Crab Mac and Cheese and found it very cheesy, though I didn't taste any crab in my few bites. However, he mentioned he got some in his serving. Another friend had the Fish and Chips; he said it was good, but nothing particularly special. Overall, it was a solid dining experience. Our waitress was busy but attentive and did a good job. The only strange thing was that whenever we made comments about our meals or the crab tools, she seemed eager to sell us something. The crab tools weren't of great quality, so perhaps she was just trying to move them. I don’t mind an upsell on food and drinks, but it felt a bit much to have everything turned into a sales pitch.
Pricey! You pay for the views and convenience. Not too many options for Ketchikan so you will pay higher prices. We did it just to say we ate Alaskan crab. Next time we will just eat and order on the ship.
We had a fantastic lunch! My husband enjoyed a couple of draft beers along with fried halibut and fries, which were served piping hot. I opted for a king crab leg. Despite the restaurant being quite busy, the service was prompt and efficient. I highly recommend this place!
We are from out of town and it was our first time eating here. The food and atmosphere deserved 4 stars. We all really enjoyed the fried fish and french fries. And although the restaurant was filled, our waitress was engaged with us and our requests. However, I asked our server if I could pay for a bun so I could use the bread to make the fried fish into a sandwich. Rather than accommodating a simple request (I offered to pay for the bun), the server stated, “The manager said if you want a fish sandwich, I would need to order one, they don’t give out buns.” For this response, my overall rating went from a 4.5 to 2 stars. Accommodating a simple request from a first time patron, will not only give you a good Google review but customers will keep coming back.In response to the restaurants comment below, I was not aware nor was it explained to me by the waitress (as this is my first time at the restaurant), that I could have ordered a fish sandwich that had the same fish as the Fish Chips order. If this had been explained to me by my waitress or was clear on the menu, then I would have ordered the fish sandwich (since that’s what I wanted).
