Chan's Chinese Take Away - Kettering

These were the worst chips I have ever tasted. They were flavorless, had a terrible color, and a horrible smell. It seems like they must fry all sorts of things in that oil.

On Friday June 3rd, 2022, I ordered takeout for 4 people and selected set meal 4b from the takeout menu. I placed the order over the phone and picked it up from Brambleside at 5:00pm. Everything seemed fine upon arrival, and we paid £43.50 for our order before heading home. The food smelled delicious and looked appetizing. When we sat down to eat, we noticed that all the dishes had a similar taste from the sauces. My daughters and wife stopped eating because they were tired of the same flavors, and I also decided to stop eating. Despite the fresh and well-presented food, we were disappointed that all the dishes tasted the same. We probably wouldn't order again, especially a set menu meal. The yung chow fried rice and side dish were good individually, but as part of a set menu, we were not satisfied with what we paid for. Overall, the family shared the same opinion on the dishes and flavors.

My daughter and her boyfriend ordered takeout from Chans tonight and found four black hairs in the food. When they contacted Chans, they were asked to send a photo of the hairs. After sending the photo, Chans requested that they bring the food back. When they returned the food, Chans accused my daughter of putting the hairs in the food, despite the fact that the hairs were dark and my daughter is blonde. Chans then yelled at my daughter, became threatening, and ultimately threw the food in the bin without offering a refund. They even threatened to call the police if my daughter and her boyfriend did not leave. I will be contacting environmental health as the hygiene standards are clearly not up to par. The customer service was terrible and it is evident that they are not following proper food hygiene practices. After this experience, I would not recommend eating at this takeaway as you never know what else might be in your food.

We ordered a Chinese for our dinner . We ordered from here before and everything was fine . We got food tonight we found 4 hairs and they tried saying I pulled them out of my own head why would I even do that I work and my partner works why would we do that just to get money back

Found 4 hairs in our takeaway and got called liars and that I pulled them from my own head!? They said they are calling the police on us because they gave us their hairy food so yeah if you want nasty food then waste your money here
