As pub it is average, but it could be the only choice in khancoban. in summer the tables are on the terrace and are large, but the interiors are large and very club like a few rooms have fire for the winter. the menu was standard-pub tea, but the traditional parmi was pretty good huh in a crispy teig and shattered with cheese and tomato and speck. you add it from the sweet and salatable, but they were quite normal and the parmi was so big that I didn't have much more.
When they come by, dive in. the pub food here is worth stopping when they go through or stay in khancoban. When we went into the bar, we heard a customer who said he had the best steak of all time. enough to say, we thought it strange and skeptical, so one had to order. the steak offered as cash food of $10 was in the did very good; juicy, tender and full taste. the inn is quite basic as many country pubs, but the beer is cold, the staff is friendly and the eating is generous in portion and delicious. if you drive over the back to thredbo and make more interesting routes, you can try this place.
As a pub, it’s pretty average, but it might be the only option in Khancoban. During the summer, the terrace and lawn seating are lovely, but the interiors are spacious and have a club-like feel, with a few rooms featuring fireplaces for the winter months. The food menu offers standard pub fare, but the traditional parmi was quite enjoyable, with good chicken coated in a crunchy batter and topped with cheese, tomato, and bacon. You can add items from the vegetable and salad bar, but they were fairly mediocre, and the parmi was so filling that I hardly had room for anything else.
Avoid this restaurant at all costs! The service was terrible and the staff were rude. Don't waste your money here.
