The Salty Beardman - KINGSCLIFF

This quickly became our favorite spot during our stay in Kingscliff. The seafood and chips available during the week were fantastic, and the bacon and egg breakfast on the weekends was simply sensational—definitely a hit all around. The fish was fresh and delicious, the chips were amazing, and they also offered fresh prawns and battered oysters. What more could you ask for? Plus, their straightforward bacon and egg dish made it an all-around great place to eat. The team and the owner really know how to make you feel valued, providing outstanding service that kept us coming back again and again.

The service here is exceptional—always with a smile! The grilled tandoori spiced barra prawns served with mango and a mixed leaf salad were absolutely amazing. Additionally, the mixed taco platter with three different varieties was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend this place; the menu is fantastic, and it’s truly the best food I’ve had in a long time!

The food was amazing! My husband got the calamari burger and I had crumbed snapper with chips. Delicious and so fresh. The staff were welcoming and helpful as well.

I had dinner here, and the portion sizes were impressive. The dishes for the kids were also excellent. The shrimp and fish were beautifully prepared. I will definitely eat here again!

The service was absolutely terrible. Two teenage girls seemed completely untrained in how to serve customers, and there was only one cook. We waited over 35 minutes for our food to arrive at our table, and I definitely won’t be returning. The place was chaotic, and the staff didn't even bother to spray and wipe down the tables for the next diners; they just cleared the plates and that was it.
