Halal Korean restaurant in Kingsford. We ate fried chicken which was ok. Service was friendly and came out reasonably quickly. No drinks menu to be seen
I am quite surprised that there is a halal korean restaurant. It is great so I can take my friends here whenever I want to eat korean bbq dishes. The place is quite big with tables which are enough for some customers. We had bbq and hot pot. I really liked the spices that they used to marinate the meat. The meat was tender as well. For the hotpot, we had two kinds of soup: tom yum and chicken (if i am not mistaken). However, the tom yum soup tasted just like the chicken one. I didnt really like it. The portion was big that they were enough for four of us. Service ok, price ok. Cleanliness ok.
Our friends told us that there was a new Halal Korean BBQ restaurant in Kingsford. We went to Sally’s Grill and Hotpot at the end of last month. The restaurant was actually owned by the same group who owned Halal Thai restaurant a few doors down the road. The menu looks like a mashup between Korean and Japanese BBQ. Their two main offerings are the hotpot and BBQ grill. You have to spend a minimum of $30 for the BBQ grill. Just like in Korean restaurants, you get a few complimentary side dishes.
This is a KBBQ restaurant opened by the team at Time for Thai so while it is not authentic Korean cuisine, it is still pretty nice and the meat is Halal. My picks are the seafood pancake, spicy chicken (BBQ) and beef ribs (BBQ).
