Cafe 5 - Kingsville

Cafe 5 is the best Middle Eastern restaurant in South Texas. You should definitely try their daily special; there's always a delightful surprise. They also serve excellent coffee and smoothies.

As an out-of-towner searching for something beyond Mexican cuisine, I stumbled upon Cafe 5. I thoroughly enjoyed my shawarma, hummus, and a Thai beverage (was it a smoothie or tea?). The food was served warm and promptly. While my shawarma might not have been the most authentic I’ve had, I felt like it was missing a sauce or two that I usually find in Kingsville. I highly recommend Cafe 5 for snacks or for ordering lunch and dinner. I would definitely return! However, there are two things I would suggest improving: the restaurant's temperature was a bit warm and almost uncomfortable, and I think some background music—perhaps even Middle Eastern tunes—would enhance the atmosphere, as it felt quite quiet inside.

Amazing food! Very reasonably priced! Expect to wait a minute..made when you order and the owner is the cook, cashier and host! Love love love!

It was nice to visit this restaurant during my time in Kingsville. While it may not be the cleanest place, the food we ordered was quite delicious. I especially enjoyed the Thai tea and finger baklava. I did forget to take a "before" picture of the food, though!
