Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI was a bit disappointed with Definitive Kittery, especially since we absolutely love the Portland location. The spot itself is charming, with a decent amount of outdoor seating and a bit of indoor space as well. It’s a clean and tidy place. The beer is fantastic, just like we remembered from Portland. However, the service left a lot to be desired. Normally, I wouldn’t mention this, but the girl at the counter was neither friendly nor helpful. She seemed uninterested in being there, which made us hesitant to stay for a second round. I hope she was just having an off day.
I want to begin by saying that this brewery serves the best beer in Maine, no question about it! While sipping on my refreshing BiCoastal IPA, I truly appreciated the atmosphere and the outstanding customer service; the bartenders are well-informed about their products! I've been visiting this location since I discovered it last summer. The Portland location, where the beer is primarily brewed, is where I first fell in love with Definitive, and Kittery is conveniently close to my home. If you're in search of great drinks and a relaxed vibe, definitely give it a try!
Definitive consistently strives to improve their beers, and they foster fantastic relationships with other breweries, enabling them to craft innovative and delicious collaborations. The brewery offers both indoor and outdoor seating, and they even have ice cream now! While I’ve highlighted many of their great qualities, what stands out most to me is their exceptional customer service and their willingness to provide detailed information. I have a few food allergies, and whenever I’ve reached out to inquire about beer ingredients, they have always been prompt and considerate in their responses. You won’t be disappointed if you give them a try, no matter what type of beer you prefer!
Definitive has, hands down, the best sour series in probably the whole world (Belgium is a different story) and they have a nice variety of styles. The beers are always rotating so there is a great deal of incentive to keep coming back to try the latest on tap and they never disappoint. I echo all the comments about how awesome Josh is, he makes the experience all the more enjoyable. This location is super convenient from Boston and we come here regularly, as they drop newreleases practically every week. There is a cute patio and the taproom/bar itself is very cozy, so it's the ideal spot at any time of year. The Portland location is less intimate, but it's also a great spot year round, especially for aweekend getaway.
I'm so glad we decided to stop here! The menu offers a great variety of really unique options. It seems they have a lot of original dishes and prepare them very well. My friend also loved her IPAs and even got some to take home! There are tables outside and some seating inside. The beer selection was impressive and the staff was very helpful. They even serve non-alcoholic beer, which was nice, but I passed on that since I was feeling a bit off the day we visited. It's great that they offer it, though! The beer menu mentioned that many options are frequently rotating, so I'll definitely be back to try more next time! There's another location in Portland, but we stopped here since we were nearby, and it turned out to be a lucky choice!
