Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI went to Public on a Tuesday evening with my friend. And let me just say, that it was a marvelous experience! We ordered the 4 servings menu: Impeccable flavors, food was absolutely delicious, so as for the wines. Service is top notch and atmosphere is very lively and cosy. Highly recommended!!! Bravo!
This has to be the worst dining experience of my life! The relatively empty restaurant clearly had tables booked for later in the evening but we were asked to wait outside in 2 degrees cold for 30 minutes and refused to order a drink whilst waiting for a table to clear. Finally we were seated and the espresso martini I ordered arrived. It was terrible, like a cocktail out of a can! I then ordered seafood pasta for my daughter and when I asked for cheese I was told I’m not allowed it until I’ve tasted it as the chef doesn’t like people having grana with seafood pasta dishes! I lived in Milano for 12 years and my daughter is Italian and wanted cheese. In fact cheese with seafood pasta is now acceptable widely in Italy. When the bill came my daughters friends were due to pay for their own meals but the waitress refused point blank to split the bill! I had to say I can’t pay then. The manageress then came to publicly chastise me and say it’s not acceptable to pay for a bill for 5 people with 3 bank cards and half in cash! Never ever ever ever in my life have I been so humiliated in a restaurant. The staff were rude and out of touch with todays world. The pasta was ok but I can cook better and the main course was the size of a starter portion. The restaurant was a disgrace to Italian culture for family dining together.
Yesterday I ate at this restaurant that serves regional Italian cuisine and it is located near the central station in Copenhagen. The atmosphere is informal, cheerful and welcoming, and the food is gourmet, delicious and beautifully plated. I ordered a really good cocktail, Italicus , fresh and delicate. Then, I had onion soup with pulled duck, covered in puff pastry. I adored it because it had a delicate sweetish taste. It was truly comfort food! As main course I ordered the handmade ravioli with pumpkin, and topped with pears in mustard and hazelnut and spice crumble...they were divine!! A mix of expertly balanced flavours! I will come back to try other dishes, the menu changes every two months and I am curious to try other Italian regional specialities.
Such a lovely place. Amazing italian food. The staff is extremely kind and they can easily customise the orders if you’ve got some allergies. I’m coming back for sure :
We arrived after making a reservation for dinner next to a construction site. Fortunately for us Public had an available table in the outside air. This is an establishment proud to be serving food from all over Italy. Each dish came complete with an explanation of the food and its origin. Although we are vegetarians, we found plenty to eat, and made use of the staff 's recommendations. We specially enjoyed the blueberry and the basil pasta. The olives, (black and green) together with bread with olive oil and salt were a perfect starter. The service was exemplary, the price reasonable (by Danish standards) Highly recommended, also for families.
