The waiter of the guy is brilliant with very interesting information exchange, fun introduction and very friendly service. Space is spacious and little cozy. Parking is available and easy. I want to visit definately again.
My 34th visit. It used to be my favourite sushiya in KL when Ori-san was still working here, visited on (almost) monthly basis. Ever since he left, I did still visited them on and off. Chef Nao was able to deliver but after a while, I got bored of his “new” style. And I also had an unfortunate episode with their 2nd chef that led me to cut back my visit. My most recent visit happened because I wanted a closure. No doubt, Nao-san still treated me as nice as before, but I felt something is lacking as the incident was quite a huge impact. So I don’t think I would revisit them again that soon.
It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing chef, food and service. The Omakase is nice and seasonal to a particularly high standard. Highly recommended.
Outstanding Sushi place downtown; ingredients all imported from Japan and of excellent quality. The chefs know what they do with all attention going into the dishes being served. Not only the fish but also the sophisticated marinades, freshly ground wasabi and prepared ginger are a delicacy. Omakase menu is well portioned and you won’t leave hungry. Reservation is a must.
It's been a few years since I've been back at Oribe and this time did not disappoint. The food was amazing and if you can, I suggest sitting at the counter. Chef Hiro is great, spends the time explaining each item and makes the entire experience one you'll enjoy.
