The menu offered a wonderful selection, making it hard for us to decide what to order. We began with some coffee, which was delightful and perfectly suited for a morning pick-me-up. We shared the lemon curd hotcakes and the smashed avocado. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic! The homemade lemon curd was exceptional; I could have easily taken a container of it home! The smashed avocado was vibrant, creative, and unique. It was incredibly tasty and enjoyable. We also couldn't resist trying the freakshake, and wow, it was amazing! You absolutely have to try one of these delicious treats. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. Thank you for having us!

After a two-hour journey from the city to Hampton Park, I found that the trip was absolutely worthwhile, especially since the cafe was bustling even on a weekday. The megashakes at Sugar Buns completely overshadow typical freakshakes with their decadent ice cream and indulgent toppings, not to mention the rich and decadent milkshake base itself. It seems that ordering a shake from Sugar Buns has become a rite of passage for cafe enthusiasts in Melbourne.

Although I’ve never been particularly impressed by the food, there's no denying that Sugar Buns reigns supreme when it comes to freak shakes. These indulgent drinks are so rich they could easily be considered a dessert. With three size options available, you have every reason to try one—or even share it!

Amazing food, all the food has so much detail and thought, but it also tastes delicious!! Amazing staff and great service. Great experience.

So impressed with this place. I was so excited to come here, and what an amazing experience it was I have to say that the serving sizes are truly unbelievable and I commend this bakery for providing their meals like this It’s not often that you get value for money, and Sugar-buns takes the cake with amazing value Not to mention wonderful colours and flavours in this dishes, I’m still left so speechless
