Banbu Sushi Grill - La Mesa

We really had a good time in banbu to celebrate my birthday. our server kayla was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. I read some of the reviews before going and I didn't think the waiting period was long. we ordered a few drinks, apps and split 4 sushi rolls between 3 of us and were filled with rest. the rollers come together with 10 pieces instead of the usual 8. we are big sushi people and they are deff surpassing standards!

The best part of our experience was our server, kyle. he was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and very patient with our large group. he had a great job. I wanted to talk to the manager before I let them know they had an excellent job, but the group I was with wanted to bring the children into the ass. thank you for taking care of our group, kyle!

Our waitress and our personal was amazing. very attentive and accommodating. it started to blow when our drinks arrived and the staff was fast to grab umbrellas and give us a protection to keep us dry. eating was delicious, it is very expensive for sushi rolls, but I will say that the part is much more than ordinary handrolls in other restaurants. a great experience and would return:

The food was simply okay for the price. We had to wait nearly 30 minutes for service after getting seated. I'd consider other local restaurants before going back to this one.

Food was INCREDIBLE! Portions were generous as well. Enjoyed “first class service” from our server Nicole S. Very attentive to ALL tables she was responsible for. She was very personable and smiled throughout entire night. BEST EVER roll: Crunchy Jalapeño Hamachi. Yum!!! Looking forward to returning. Calling this best sushi in town!
