Joey's Kitchen - Lahaina

The shrimp was dirty. We didn't even eat it and threw it away. What a waste of money!

If the guy from diners drive ins and dives could PLEASE stop ruining my favorite west Maui restaurants with his overrated PR that causes a spike in prices and the resulting shortcuts that are being taken because you're THAT busy that would be great. Thanks! I rated 4 stars because of the food kitchen they've been running since the fires. Otherwise, it would be a hard 2 at best. It's not even a diner, drive in or dive. This place is NICE like downtown Laguna Beach or Newport Beach nice and just as expensive. I leave this review as constructive criticism hoping it will result in quality control. (We've stayed in Honokowai every year for the past decade this time we are here for a month. Joeys used to be our favorite spot since we are foodies Filipino is my comfort food back home. The kitchen is AMAZING when Joey is there otherwise it's just another tourist trap to avoid.

We ate breakfast here 3 times in 5 days, kept coming back for the banana macadamia nut pancakes with coconut syrup! Yummy! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
