Luby's - Lake Jackson

My husband and I spent our first Thanksgiving as a married couple this year at the Lubys in Lake Jackson. The restaurant was clean, the staff was remarkable, and the food was great. We'll be back here soon.

The best dinner we have. Thank you for a great meal and excellent service.

This does not happen frequently, but on a few of my visits of the years. It seems that the waitress or waiter is more interested in talking in groups, then to their customers. On a certain visit our waitress never even approached my table for everything I needed, I finally went back to the line and my own cup filled. I left a 2 dollar tip, because I'm sure she needs it, then my normal 10 to 20 dollars tip. If she reads that. Better!

Loved the surroundings, the place was nice and neat. Waiting staff was very friendly and attentive to my needs. The food was delicious and fresh. I will return here in the near future. I highly recommend eating here.

First of all, the service was GREAT. However the food was hit or miss. Half of it was great and half was undercooked or stale. My hamburger steak was still very pink in the center and not in a steak way. The rolls were hard as a rock which my daughter blatantly pointed out to our server who immediately ran and got us three fresh rolls. He was great!! I was just so disappointed with the food, I?m just more of a suffer in silence and don?t inconvenience anyone type of person so I left less hungry but not satisfied. Maybe it was the time of day we went I?m not sure. 4 stars mainly for the stellar service.
