Makoto Sushi - Laval

Went there by myself at noon because i wanted to have sushi and try a new place at the same time. The choices are very nice and i have to say the sushi is very fresh and it tastes good. I had a chicken platter...also, nothing special in it to be honest. Ambiance is very nice, good relaxing music and the staff is very helpful and nice. What also caught my attention is how clean the restrooms are. Restaurants always forget that restrooms are a projection of the kitchen. Will definetely take the family and go there next time.

Makoto sushi was pretty deceiving. We’ve tried many sushi restaurants in Laval/Montreal and makoto was not impressive at all. We did not like the freshness of the sushi nor the selection made by the chef. Yes, you give them open hand to select you sushi’s...(we had a big order) but they included some type of sushi that no one liked. Overall i will try other place before going to makoto.

This is a place we return to when staying in Laval. The service is always good and the food is always good. They don't have a large selection of sushi but what they do offer is very good. My only knock is the ama ebi...does not come with the heads. Other than that great... Bottom line is; I will be back

We went with another couple because it was recommended by a friend. What attracted us was the bring your own wine. It was good and the service was good. No complaints.

Very Impressed! My first time at this sushi restaurant not sure what to expect I was very impressed by the food and service. Nice little restaurant I would definitely recommend we will be returning with friends and family very soon! The presentation and taste of...the food excellent. The service also was very good very attentive to our requests! the place was very clean! We arrived early but the place filled up very fast. Also you can bring your own Wine!!
