San Carlo - Leicester

The food at this restaurant was not up to par for the price, and the overall experience was extremely disappointing. We were seated so close to the couple next to us that they felt the need to introduce themselves as we sat down. Despite having made a reservation, we were rushed through our meal as soon as we arrived. The waitress struggled to open our wine bottle and instead pushed the cork in. Our table was cleared while we were still eating, and we were given only 2 minutes and 10 seconds between courses. Overall, it felt more like a fast food experience and we will not be returning. #disappointing #poorservice

Lovely food and welcoming staff. Little extras that make it special. Would highly recommend for any occasion.

First visit and given good table in atmospheric dining room that clearly has its regular clientele always a good sign. We were immediately offered drinks while we pondered the menu. Food delicious but had to ask several times for bread and service at times inattentive. But will definitely be back and make sure we leave room for pudding too. A Leicester gem
