I have been disappointed with my food, the last two times. But worse than that is the Management customer service. I purchased a gift certificate at Restaurant.com. The first time I tried to use it, was several months ago. I was told they were no longer accepting them. The Boss/Manager/Owner refused to come speak to me. But told our very nice waitress, to tell me. There information was supposed to have been removed months before. They were all shocked it was still on the site. I was told they would contact them Monday morning. To make sure it was removed that day. Well I contacted Restaurant.com, last week. After seeing Yarborough's was still listed. I was told they should be honoring my certificate. That they had no record of Yarborough's requesting to be removed at any time. That they were still part of the site. Well last weekend a whole group of us went back. I told the waitress about my gift certificate. She didn't even have to go ask anyone about it. She immediately told me they were not allowed to accept them. She said she had been told it was removed. I told her she could pull it up right now. She seemed surprised. Said she had been told it had been removed at the beginning of the pandemic. WOW! These people have been ripping people off for over 2 years. I asked again to speak with management. I was told there was no one there to speak to. So I asked for the owners name and number. I was given a regular restaurant card. With the name Cheryl Walser quickly written on the back. I have called and left a message. But so far no call back. Big Surprise! They should be ashamed of themselves.
Upon walking in there is a smell of old carpet. This is an old place, but is unpleasant. The food was just ok. Twice baked potatos was mashed potatoes in a bowl with cheese. The steak had no flavor. Lexington Tap House is better. Was very disappointed after seeing a 4+ rating. Will not return.
Food was well prepared and tasty. Waitress was attentive. We would go back.
Steaks were very good and tender although was grilled well done instead of medium well as ordered. Would definitely go back again and food was not over priced.
