I ordered the Monte Cristo with a poached egg .. very filling and good!
The music was too loud, to the point that we couldn’t communicate with our friends at all, even the ones directly across from one another. They charged a cover charge of $10 each when we had dining reservations (no intentions to go upstairs , that was a surprise, that didn’t happen last time. The service was hit or miss, she would be missing for long periods when we needed something or off beside the bar on her phone. Finally took food orders for 4 in our party and never even asked the two others before taking off. So they got their food late. This time the cocktails were horrible. Two men in our party sent theirs back, I couldn’t even choke down my blue Hawaiian (which I was so looking forward to, love them! . They over charged us, both in food items (salad listed at $14 they charged $20 and then corrected to $16 when confronted , and just overall. The bill total said one amount and then the amount charged was several dollars higher. Cut our night short and left. Maybe just a rough patch? Our last (and first time there wasn’t AS bad.
Great atmosphere and great music from Cliff and Susan. They were amazing! Drinks were good but there were kinks in the tabletop tap for the margaritas. But, all was worked out. Waitress was sweet, but not knowledgeable on menu or drinks. She was also very scarce, at times. Food options should be expanded. There is not much to choose from at all, but what we had did taste good. However, there were NO dessert options at all. That would have been nice. Fortunately, my sister had a Reese 's cup. Overall, good visit since the music had us staying 5 hours. That 's why more food options and dessert would have been nice. Will definitely be back and hopeful to see improvements as they go forward.
It was ok. It looks great, staff is super friendly. Has a LOT of potential. But, kitchen was closed bc cook was sick, I guess she is the only cook so we had to leave bc we were hungry. Only got 2 drinks in each. Field was nice, Bartenders were nice. My brother loved the gin cocktails, my old fashion, they either used a bad orange or needs to dial down the flame, bc the smoke was overpowering. Then switched to scotch and my Balvenie 12 yr was $20!! That’s insane. The whole bottle costs $60. I know they are a “private club” and buying their liquor from a liquor store. But....that’s double the profit for them at a minimum....that angers me beyond bc that should be $12-13 max a glass. Then, they charge you extra for using a credit card/debit card. One of these places that wants to foot the bill of the business to the customer instead of writing that off as an expense or increasing meal and drink prices by .50 or $1 to cover it. Which, $20 for my scotch is MORE than enough. I hate when businesses charge to use plastic. Not sure if I’ll be back, I think if they adjusted these things than I would. I do love the atmosphere and the staff. So I’ll go back to have a beer or try their gin cocktails and chill.
