I never write bad reviews on here but This was the worse experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The staff were so rude they just walked by not interested in raking an order. When we finally order they were unable to answer any question. Finally the manage came and she was just a rude. I left
We went for afternoon tea. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were excellent and made us feel special for our anniversary. Highly recommended.
I booked the afternoon tea experience at Liverpool’s Marco Pierre White Steakhouse for my partner’s 51st Birthday. We were greeted warmly by Jess who was our server. She enquired if we had any allergies before showing us to our super-cosy and intimate banquette table. Jess checked in with us throughout the experience and was always friendly, helpful and attentive. We loved the moody, masculine decor and the afternoon tea selection was a nice modern update of an English tradition. We would definitely recommend the venue to anyone looking for a special dining experience. It really is the ideal gift for a friend or loved-one. We’re grateful to Jess for taking such great care of us. We’ll definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu. The complimentary glass of Prosecco was a nice surprise. Thank you.
After a wonderful experience at The English House in Singapore we were keen to try the same stable's restaurant in Liverpool on the occasion of visiting our University based grandson. It was very disappointing. Booking was extremely difficult. On the Wednesday before I attempted to book for a Sunday lunch. Got to the payment stage 4 times but either the Restaurant's booking computer or Mastercard was on the blink so could not confirm booking. Eventually rang the restaurant and was assured that having done this there was no problem and that there was a secure booking. The next day I received a note asking me to confirm my card details. The only trouble was I only read it an hour after I'd received it (I'm not glued to my PC and I could also read that my booking had been cancelled. So I rang them again and was told not to worry my booking was confirmed. The next day the same thing happened so this time I booked through the booking system and bingo it worked this time. However I rang again to make sure I didn't have 5 reservations! I didn't but I did enquire as to why the Sunday Roasts option, offered on Wednesday, was now not offered. Told not to worry about it. Arrived Sunday and found there was no-one else in the restaurant and we were the sole bodies sitting down during the next two hours 1.15pm to 3.15pm. Ordered a bottle of red wine to be told it was not available (were we now going to get our own version of the Cheese Sketch(? . No, but we did get a patronising talk on wine. Actually the wine we ended up with was OK and the highlight of the meal. However everything else was very moderate. The main course felt like a rapidly warmed up plate of food. With only 3 people in the restaurant it was obvious this had not been carved from a recently cooked and rested joint of beef: it was tough and difficult to cut. All in all a great disappointment. The serice was basic and and I think Marco Pierre needs to rethink his offering here.
