This dining experience is on a completely different level.
We had intended to go to a different restaurant, but the traffic in Mayfair was terrible. So, we decided to make a spontaneous stop at StreetXO.
Streetxo, the sister restaurant of 3 michelin star diverxo in madrid, is the much awaited new opening in mayfair. with a menu that is partly identical to diverxo, it is a brave application on Asian-Spanish fusion food, complete with theatrical flair and lively ambiente. chef david muñoz began his career in Asian restaurants in london before he opened diverxo in madrid in 2007, which is widely considered a successor of el buli, and has now returned with streetxo to london. we started with the signature pekinese dumplings, which aimed a strong introduction to the explosion of the aromen muñoz in his kitchen. the crisp and sweet strawberry chop ensures a unique combination of aromen and texture. I loved the prawn carpaccio; the presentation and bursts of zitrusaroma are especially unforgettable. some of the dishes, as the pork belly with mustel, make targeted no sense, since it really pushes the boundaries of the fusion. what I loved most about streetxo is how everything appears on the menu to emulsify muñoz himself, from the perfection of the otopus, to the rich and mosquitoes of the lamb, to the spices of the king's skrab, and all have a very special flaming and rebellivity.
Talk about a fertile team! the folks behind seasonal berries – a year-round campaign funded by british summer fruits and represented 98% of British berry farmers – organized a spring-fling lunch in the edgy-high Mayfair restaurant streetxo, to the pulsating versatility of the much spoiled, but rarely with earthy.
