Chinese Delight - Los Angeles

This is the best Chinese food I've ever had! I live on the west side of The Valley, and it's definitely worth the trip.

The waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive! This was the best Chinese food I've had in a long time. The service was also really quick, and we didn't have to wait long at all.

I really liked it and will try again for sure. Tried it today for the first time based on reviews read here. I have another local favorite, but love trying new places. I loved the hot and sour soup. It was pretty hot, which I love. If my mouth burns after, I like it. It's everything I want it to be. Generous proportions of tofu and bamboo shoots. Not too thick. The right blend of hot and sour for me. The Kung Pao beef was very good. Maybe a little sweeter than I prefer. It had a very rich flavor. More than most. The beef was quite tender unlike a lot of places. Seemed like good quality meat. The egg roll was a surprise. Had very good flavor. Wasn't mushy. It was a little greasy like you'd expect but not overly greasy. Not sure what the flavors are that were so good, but I'd say they are a step above most places. The staff were very nice and friendly. Very good service. Lunch special was under $13. Well worth it. It is the typical storefront restaurant that has been open for quite a while. Outdated decor but that doesn't bother me. Parking is pretty limited, as it is in a small shopping center with several other stores. I was there on a weekday for lunch and no one seemed to find it difficult to find parking, but I can see where it might be difficult at times. Bathroom was relatively clean. Excited to try other dishes here.

This restaurant is my top choice whenever I'm craving Chinese food in the area. They have never let me down. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service is very fast. Ordering a large portion means you’ll have a lot of food, so be prepared for leftovers. My favorite dish here is the rice—I always make sure to order a side of some kind of fried rice.
