Cafe des marechaux - Lyon

This was recommended by friends who had eaten there before, so we gave it a try. we are very pleased that we have done this. the food and service were exceptional and cheap. we were there for lunch. our group had a mushroom risotto, a Caesar salad with huh and a croque monster. our server was friendly, charming and extremely helpful. that was our favorite dinner in lyon.

Fantastic bouchon! It's very casual and intimateThe proprietor comes out and takes your order after explaining the menu.

Get the pork/beef cheek and the bread with sausage baked into itThe soup was also goodThe Leffe beer was not as good as it usually is in bottles.

One of my all time favorite meals! We got the last 2 open seats at lunch (make a reservation!) and we were the only 2 Americans (good sign!) We were hosted

Il fait beau il fait chaud. Un coca zéro en terrasse s'impose. Un monsieur charmant nous sert. C'est l'heure de payer. Oh super de la monnaie ! Dit le monsieur. Nous redoublons d'effort pour lui laisser un Max de pièces. Madame arrive. Et là tout s'écroule. Nous l'avons insultée avec des pièces jaunes !!! Nous n'avons rien compris. Nous sommes partis. Nous ne reviendrons plus jamais.
