Sumo Japanese Steakhouse - Manassas

My son, who has celiac disease and follows a strict gluten-free diet, recently visited Sumo Restaurant in Manassas with a group of friends. Unfortunately, the only option available for him was a bowl of plain white rice. This led to a disappointing experience for him. We have dined at many sushi and Japanese restaurants in the past that have offered excellent gluten-free alternatives. Unfortunately, there were no accommodations made for his dietary needs that night. While restaurants are not obligated to cater to specific dietary requirements, it would be beneficial to clearly communicate this on your website or display a notice outside the restaurant. In the future, we will make sure to inquire at the door, but we will likely choose to dine elsewhere for a better experience. Dietary restrictions: No special dietary options available.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate my son's birthday and had an amazing dinner! The service was outstanding—extremely attentive, and we never had to request anything. Our chef was very friendly and prepared our food to perfection. The chicken was tender and juicy, and everything was delicious. We will definitely return! This place is far better than the other hibachi restaurants in the area that serve smaller portions. At Sumo's, the servings are generous, and I love that they don’t charge for singing happy birthday or offering complimentary cheesecake. Such a nice touch!

I ordered 2 Special Rolls, Volcano Roll and 007 Roll. Volcano Roll is the one with the bright red and green in the middle and 007 is the long curved roll. Inside the Volcano Roll: spicy tuna, cream cheese. 007 Roll Inside: shrimp tempura. Outside: spicy tuna, cab mix Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner

This restaurant is one of the best I've gotten to enjoy. Staff is super friendly and attentive, Gyoza appetizer was amazing and definitely made with love. The Filet and Chicken Hibachi dinner was tender and juicy! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100
