Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Mandan

I have always enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Recently, we had them cater food for our daughter's graduation party and it was a great experience. I recommend calling them directly to place your order instead of using the website, as you can save money and the lady who takes the orders is very friendly. The portions are generous, so you will have leftovers, which is a bonus - especially if it's brisket. Next time, I would purchase more dinner rolls. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I recently had a delivery from this restaurant, and while the food was delicious, there was an issue with the beans not being properly sealed, so I couldn't really taste them as they were at the bottom of the bag. Despite this, I believe they were probably very good. I also want to mention that the jalapeno sausage was amazing. However, I must apologize for giving this restaurant a rave review as the overall experience was not as good as expected. The chicken was dry and the macaroni and cheese had mushy noodles. I usually have high expectations for this place and will not criticize them because they usually do a great job, but this time it was not up to their usual standards.

Honestly the atmosphere is really cool in the place although it smelling like smoke the whole time could be something they could work on with better ventilation. When it comes to the service it's pretty solid could be worse could be better but where I knock the service down a star is the speed of which the food is made. But where I really knocked them down is on their food while it might be pretty decent from my understanding and experience the amount of food you get is horrible compared to the price you pay like their servings are what you would see at say a barbecue that you're having at your friend's backyard kind of one scoop of this and a scoop of that nothing at all that would impress me when it comes to serving size. Simply put their prices are okay if the servings were the same but their servings are abysmal hence their pricing is bad

While passing through Bismarck, we were pleasantly surprised to discover a Dickey's BBQ Pit since our local one had closed down. The food was fantastic, the service was great, and we were impressed to see the owner actively involved in working and coaching other employees on site. We will definitely be returning next time we visit Bismarck!

This food is so bland and the portion is less for the money. I don't know if the cook is new or what not. But 48 dollars for less. I'll pass glad the kids wanted something else.
