Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónI visited this restaurant with a friend who lives in Mansfield. On the outside, it appears quite ordinary, but as soon as you step inside, the enticing aroma of BBQ surrounds you, instantly transporting you to a place where exceptional service and delicious food come together! I ordered a two-meat plate, featuring pulled pork and brisket (which was sliced right in front of me), along with burnt ends, a jalapeño stuffed with brisket and wrapped in bacon (known as a firecracker), fried okra, and green beans. The owners take immense pride in their food and treat you like family, checking in on us several times to ensure we were satisfied. The food was outstanding, and they offer a spicy BBQ sauce that packs a nice punch! The brisket was so flavorful it didn't even need sauce, the pulled pork was fantastic, and the burnt ends were very tasty. I'll definitely be back!
This was my first visit, and I was greeted like an old friend. They even offered me a sample of the turkey, and wow, it was fantastic! I’m definitely planning to order it for Thanksgiving. The brisket was juicy and packed with flavor, and you absolutely have to try their okra. I could keep raving about the food, but it’s getting cold! Definitely stop by—you won't regret it!
I ordered the brisket baked potato. It came with cheese, bacon, and sour cream. My husband ordered the burnt ends and sausage, with mac n cheese and potato salad. We both thought it was just okay, we've had better. If you like hot stuff try their spicybbq, that was really good!
I visited this restaurant for the first time and had mixed feelings about my experience. The potatoes were quite tough on the outside, stale, and barely warm. However, the brisket on top was enjoyable; it had a nice flavor, great texture, and a generous portion. Unfortunately, there wasn't much in terms of toppings like sour cream and cheese. I had a hard time scooping out the potato from the skin. The BBQ sauce was quite vinegary and thin, which is just a matter of personal preference (and it's not mine). I couldn't eat the potato, but the brisket was the highlight of the meal. Perhaps the brisket and other meats could be worth trying, but I can't speak to the rest of the menu since that was all I ordered.
I had a wonderful experience dining at Big D BBQ this evening. Since we were visiting from out of town, we decided to give it a try, and we’re so glad we did! The staff was friendly, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was very family-friendly. We ordered a family-style meal that included brisket, mac and cheese, green beans, and BBQ beans. I really hope this place stays in business—if you're in Dallas, definitely give it a shot! It's absolutely worth a visit.
