Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónJubilee meal with friends during the stay in mgt flow and we were trying to taste la scarpetta. the restaurant is very picturesque and we were warmly welcomed. we could not harm the service, but the food was really quite average and overall lack of taste and for. $30 for every pasta dish we expected it to be better. the lammpasta was cut as the ravioli ok and the gnocchi with gorgonzola was quite bland and disappointing. unfortunately we all felt a little underwhelmed.
This Italian restaurant is located in a stunning building on the entrance to the margaret river. we were met by a very friendly Italian guy who showed us on our table. service overall was good, although it was a bit hit and miss through the time we had ended our nets. we had very tasty garlic bread to begin (3 pieces per serving) and then waited for our net that arrived quite fast. our wee was good and not too expensive given the amount of wee in each glass. our side of the salad (pepper, soft cheese, salate, walnut etc. was very beautiful and well dressed. the gnocchi of my wife with gorgonzola was delicious and very full. she was forced to leave something to her chagrin. my boiled pork (yes, I know, was filled with pork, Italian sausage and vegetables and served on a bed lentils. it was cut, although the end of the trotter with its bones and sinus was obviously not. it was extremely filled in view of the dense nature of the filling. an experience I think you should always look at a restaurant. it was surprisingly delicious. we would visit again, although next time I would go with one of the tasty looking pastas.
Was rather disappointed by the overall experience, including the food. we have here on Saturday evening a late booking of 8.30 we were warmly welcomed and taken on our table, but after that the service with a smile and general hospitality was not existent. the two European waitresses were rude, or simply atmospheric and very helpful. we ordered entrees arancini and octopus who were nice. Although the brown paper bag arancini has wrapped on a plate with a dip sauce, I did not really like it. my partner ordered the eye fillet (to wait for waitress, I think she was more concerned about the possible 45-minute waiting time than we) and I the tagliatelle alla bolognese. the steak was perfectly boiled and the sauce tasty, but the way it was thrown on the piate was something they would expect from a pub. the bolognese looked amazing and the pasta was homemade that is always a bonus, but the sauce was extremely bland and dry. it lacked definitiw an enough, garlic and seasoned. we ordered the cheeseboard for the gloomy, but more crackers would have been nice and again the waitress seemed not happy about us ordering. I even wiped our own table when it stood there before the cheeseboard was unpolished. overall I teach this place cut, I wish I could say better things as I really wanted to enjoy it. Maybe the last postings should be 8.00 o'clock, as I felt that the personal just didn't want to be there.
Great food and wine with good service in a beautiful atmosphere. we had carpaccio, gnocci and prawn linguine everything was very delicious.
We booked ahead (you have to as they were turning people away). There were 6 of us and we all had great food except our Italian guest who thought that the linguine pasta was lacking in flavour. And we tried it and agreed. But the...Tortelli ai funghi was better. Bruschetta al pomodoro was large and superb. Steak was good with nice potatoes. Desserts were huge and could have been shared. Wine is a bit pricey and there was no house white available. Service was friendly and fun. Toilets outside in the dark so ladies need to be chaperoned. But you can see why this is so popular. Worth returning to.
