Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThis is our family's way to the Chinese resto if we want a relaxed delicious dinner. All her food is really so good, from her fried rice, noodles, kung pao chicken (we have this free in promo over 50usd free chicken her pad thai, everything is great. Egg rolls and more. They call them to make an order and it will be ready in 30 minutes, fresh and tasty. It is well-run restaurant with friendly efficient and fabulous staff. Thank you. Come back here.
Read the reviews of how authentic it is. I have no way to question the authenticity as my heritage is Korean, but my 2 Chinese friends confirmed that the food is very authentic for its origin (Chengdu style). We ordered almost 8 participants and everything was absolutely fantastic. Crispy beef, crispy chicken, pork with pepper, beef with pepper and more. Even the general Tso was great, no heavy bread and real chicken. I'd drive out 30 minutes to revise here.
We were very surprised to find this authentic Chinese restaurant without going south towards Rockville, as we usually do. It is located right in front of Rt. 27 at the corner of a Blande, unloaded stripe mall. The exterior is not inviting, but you have to overlook it and enter it. Don't judge the book on his cover, do you? This is a hidden gem. The interior is spacious and clean, decently decorated. There are framed vintage photos on the wall, and a masterpiece of calligraphic mural in Chinese that says: "Heaven's way: hard work is rewarded." A great motto for the staff. The menu is really nice made despite a prominent typo on the cover. It is hard bound, with pictures of professionally designed dishes. The selection is huge, from American dishes to Thai curries. But if you are here for the real [authentic] deal, jump directly to the second-to-the-last page!! Listed there are the classic Chengdu cuisine, their real specialties. On the list is C19 – Chengdu Spicy Chicken – a certain must. They use so much dried red chili pepper that penetrates the heat through the delicate, juicy dice chicken. It's a court to die! On the same side we also tried Cumin Beef, we all loved it too. Other dishes we had during this visit: pork with Schredded Bean Curd, tofu with vegetables and Fried Rice. They are all good, especially not excessively salty. I also love the fact that free rice was provided on a large bowl. With so many delicious dishes, I never had to worry about running rice. Service was great. The staff was very friendly and polite. We were asked how we liked the dishes, tea was immediately refilled and even the free rice was asked without. Later I found out that the cook was an award-winning cook in Sichuan. Now it makes sense why the restaurant name in Chinese has its last name (Xie) on it, its trophy must be nickname. Anyway, this is all the more reason for me to go back and check more (Chengdu) dishes! A
The MaPo Tofu is the best in the Damascus, Ijamsville, Mt. Airy, New Market, Urbana area! It's great! My first order from here and I was very happy with the service, prices and food!
Hole in the wall in the most respective way possible. Really good authentic Chengdu style Chinese. The spicy chicken had the perfect amount of dry spice
