Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónDo not expect a flashy restaurant, but expect really good authentic Portuguese local cuisine. We have three nights in the villain and have gone twice. All food is great. The seafood soup is a must. The boss is very friendly, service staff is so helpful. Mostly...local in the restaurant, we ran into birthdays and they share their homemade almond cake with us, so delicious! Please make this place if you want an authentic, pocket-friendly experience. We will come back
We visited the place last night, literally in the last minute. The people at Convívio are all very nice and friendly and the food was one of the best Portuguese cuisine I have eaten so far. We ate sopa de mar, misto de...enchidos, vitela assada no forno. In addition, they offered us at the beginning, that was amazing. The price for the food is very good and honest for the taste of it, I am ready to pay even more.
We were in a B and B in the area and decided to eat lunch in the village. That was the only restaurant we found. The restaurant was full of local people eating, probably many on their lunch break. There were no vegetarian options...a problem for our son and DIL. You skipped lunch. My husband and I have ordered one of two lunch specialists. The elections were beef or fish. We ordered the fish. Not sure what kind, but it was full of bones until I didn't eat it. The rest of the meal were mashed potatoes and garbanzo beans with onions and herbs. My husband enjoyed the meal. I probably choose the wrong meal according to the reviews. We didn't drink wine so I couldn't get it. If you like authentic Portuguese food and eat with locals, you will probably enjoy the food. Prices are very low.
We were passing by Vila Real and went to this restaurant to get something to eat for dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised not only by the food (everything was superb beginning with the appetizers, the seafood soup, and the main course the roasted lamb ...but especially for the top service. A very pleasant man walked us through every dish and served us a great wine and a final drink. Don’t get fooled by the entrance, inside is a real treasure of cuisine :
Well cooked regional food and very nice staff. We ate the grilled meats and the traditional pito de santa luzia sweets. I recommend it!
