This is my second time visiting here. Today I enjoyed a Filete Zarandeado, it was delicious!! No regrets, the fish was cooked to perfection and the rice and veggies compliment it very nicely. The Tamarindo Margaritas are a must try as well!
You gotta love a restaurant with colorful murals! It is fun to read all the dichos y refranes while you wait for your food. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy. We started with 'Queso Fundido con Chorizo ' (melted white cheese) as an appetizer. It really was delicious and the highlight of our lunch. The flour tortillas were good. The 'Parrillada Milagrosa ' dish (for 2 people) was a treat. It is a combination of beef and chicken fajitas with grilled cactus, sausage, onions, cheese, and avocado served with quesadillas, rice, and charro beans. I loved the charro beans! Unfortunately, they don 't have a good cocktail menu. I tried the Margarita with a Corona beer on it. In order for the beer to not tip over, you need to order it as a frozen Margarita (which I 'm not a fan of to begin with). I chose the lemon-flavored Margarita from the relatively large selection of flavors. It was tasteless. I don 't recommend it.
Recommend tacos callejeros are AMAZING, they taste so good and good price. Also the parrillada is genuine meat and many can dine with one. Our server Alex was really nice, attentive and has good recomending food.
My experience with the staff is a 5-star rating, but the food and drinks are not. Avocado Margarita does not recommend. Then an original margarita was ordered and it wasn't good either. Definitely stay at La Costa next time
