Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónWe visited 50. My husband's birthday and had an excellent time. The service was great and the food/ cocktails were fantastic. We had both the Färger and Maische followed by Pistachio and Espresso martinis for Dessert.
Went on week night and immediately found a place outside. Very picturesque and true for the cottage. Music was sometimes overlaid. Our server was a nice person, but it seemed like his first week and self unsafe. But it was good. The food was excellent, better than a typical pub fare. Would have liked to see more designs of beers, but Harp and Guinness had. Overall beautiful place I would only go for dinner alone again.
BEST Irish Pub in Melbourne, hands down. And I know there are some other Irish pubs that were longer here and have larger menus. But the cottage still blows them out of the water for me. Above all: The ATMOSPHERE Outside: You have twinkly lights, you have dog friendly terraces, you have front back seating, picnic tables perfect for big parties two seating tables for a date! There are live music on certain nights outside, but if this is not your cup of tea, you can sit back! I like options and this place has them! Inside: the walls have framed pictures of real pubs and huts in Ireland, JFK and Catholic Jesus. So you can imagine it really sets the ~authentic~ pub mood. The lighting is beautiful, as the bar seats, some high tables, a small side room for an intimate party! This is in no order, btw! I just wanted the stage for what you see when you arrive... Secondly, the FOOD Almost every time I was here, I came with a group of people. And everyone. the whole group was thrilled with their meals. And let me tell you (unfortunate I have some friends who are picky foods! And even they had no complaints! As mentioned above, the menu is not extensive, but the food they have is quality and so well made. And I wish I could say that I even tried everything on the menu, but I just love the fish chips so much it's what I've always done almost every time. Paired with a cold wizard hard apple apple apple apple apple apple apple cider! In the end: THE SERVICE Our servers were always friendly, patient (as I am already mentioned, we often came into groups, and knowledgeable. Yes, this is definitely a place I would like to bring friends and family from the city, because everyone is always satisfied and it is in the Art District, so after enjoying the meal we go the surrounding blocks and look at the wall paintings, shops, parks and river. But it is also a favorite place for my husband and I have a cozy date!
What a charming little treasure. This Irish pub surprised me. I expected a decent beer and pub food and what I found was a neighborhood bar with an amazing kitchen filled with well curated vegan, and gluten-free options far beyond everything I even sought. The service was amazing, eating and drinking, without problems. (Maybe the ice-drink ratio on the Black Berry Mash cocktail felt like I had paid more than I actually got to drink) but it was so delicious that I couldn't care.
The food was excellent! Fish chips for me and bangers mash for my friend. And the portion was more than I could eat. I loved the way it was decorated definitely had the feel of an Irish pub (yes I've been to Ireland) I will definitely go back.
