J and I got takeaway from here for our dinner on Tue 28th May – it was about 4pm. <br/ The woman who served us was pleasant, she gave us a taste of the spicy veg (although we decided against it in the end). We didn’t want rice, so she gave us extra curry which was nice. <br/ <br/ We had the large Veg Thali, which was ok value – the only problem being that it was in the one TA container and everything merged together a bit. Eat in would solve that problem the vibe is pretty cool with the weird but groovy green lampshades everywhere.<br/ <br/ Lentil curry was quite good – better than a lot of dhals we’ve had.<br/ <br/ Eggplant curry was nice, but not enough eggplant (seems to be a thing with these style of faster food Indian places).<br/ <br/ Chickpea curry was also good, chickpeas a nice texture not too firm or mushy.<br/ <br/ We also got a free papadum, it was ok, quite well done/cooked.<br/ <br/ One of the better cheap Indian takeaway places we’ve tried – will give it a second go sometime!
The large meat and veg thali is very filling and value for money. Would highly recommend it. Chicken tikka and the roast veg curry is the best. Limited seatings though.
This Indian fast food restaurant is vegan friendly. The service is good and the food is delicious. I do wish they had more vegan options, but for now, the only choices are grilled vegetables, chickpea curry, eggplant curry, and lentils. My go-to dishes are the grilled veggies and eggplant curry, which are both tasty. And let's not forget the best part - their naan is the best in Melbourne!
The food and ambience at this restaurant are fantastic. The staff are friendly and the food, especially the butter chicken and vindaloo, is delicious. They offer options for both vegetarians and meat lovers.
Tried the pan roll and onion spinach fritter. Pan roll reminds me of traditional Indonesian snack. Had a really spicy fillings due to its seasoning. The fritters were also tasty.
