Amerigo Italian - Memphis

Had a great meal and James was very nice and attentive. My only complaint was the timing of our salads and entrees. We had barely started our salads when our entrees arrived. Otherwise, a very nice evening.

Great place. We 've lived here 5 years and had not heard about it. It 's just a good Italian restaurant. Nothing super fancy, just the classics. But the ambiance is nice, the staff is professional and knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable. Every dish was done and presented extremely well. Refills on drinks (non alcoholic) appear without asking. There is always somebody making sure you are provided for without being obtrusive. This is our Memphis Italian Place unless we find something superior.

James has served our family on many occasions and ALWAYS gives us exceptional service. The white table cloths and ambiance is a Memphis classic with a NY feel. Great local spot and good food.

We went here today for a combined birthday for me and my friend. She chose the place because she already knew it was good. My husband and I had never been. I’m always very skeptical of Italian food since I’ve lived here since I’m from NJ and I’m Italian. I ordered chicken parmigiana and omg was it fabulous. This was the best Italian food I’ve had since I left NJ 24 years ago! Tiramisu was on point also! The only disappointment was no creamer for the coffee. How does a place like this not have coffee creamer? I wish the waitress had told me beforehand as I wouldn’t have ordered it. Beside that, everything was amazing.

It 's rare for me to give a 5 star rating. They deserve it. If you want a fine dining experience, quiet atmosphere, great food, and friendly patrons, this is your go to Italian restaurant. I 've been here twice. Each time the food is so good, it 'll make your eyes roll, and you 'll say, Oh my God . I 'll be back. Wheelchair accessibility: Disabled Parking is very limited and always full.
