Blue Highway Pizza - Micanopy

We spent three weeks in micanopy and were very happy to find blue highway pizza. we loved that they have tempeh and vegan mozzarella as toppings, as well as many sweet as artichoke hearts, roasted vegetables, sun-dried tomatoes and much more. the staff is friendly and helpful. we also love the atmosphere of the restaurant (beautiful decoration and rock music.)

The family-owned restaurant has always taken pride in their thin crust pizza. Despite what a previous review may have claimed, they do offer vegan sauce and "cheese" upon request. The appetizing salad served as a starter was absolutely delicious!

Although there are no fully vegan options on the menu, the staff is very accommodating and willing to customize dishes to suit your preferences. I usually order the Tuscan Bean Piadine without the feta or parmesan, and they always understand my request. One time I ordered a special menu item and requested for the cheese to be omitted because I am vegan. I was pleasantly surprised when they called me back shortly after to inform me that another ingredient contained butter and honey. I appreciated the extra effort they took to clarify my order. I would give them five stars for their exceptional service, even though their vegan food options are limited.

During our three-week stay in Micanopy, we were thrilled to discover Blue Highway Pizza. We were delighted to find toppings such as tempeh and vegan mozzarella, as well as a variety of vegetables like artichoke hearts, roasted vegetables, and sun-dried tomatoes. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed the restaurant's cozy atmosphere with its unique Nizza decoration and rock music playing in the background.
