Contribuir a la retroalimentaciónThe menu has changed and the share plate had been recommended, so visited to try it out. Very disappointing. Bland, no seasoning, mostly fried and dry offerings. The only dipping/sauces were mayonnaise based and tasted like they were straight from a bottle or jar. The salad was undressed and had the sum total of two cherry tomatoes. The addition of a mushroom "hotpot" seemed .... odd. In a thin cream sauce, it just didn't work with the fried squid, cold unshelled prawns, fried haloumi, fried arancini, fried port belly, fried chicken and a couple of bits of toast. We were offered a table for 45 minutes only, which seemed too short a time, but in reality we were able to pick at the plate, drink a glass of wine and leave well within that time frame.
Great food, great situation right on one of Albany's popular beaches. Good idea to book a table as it gets very busy. Coffee is good coffee. Meals are generous portions. Good to visit in the warmer months when it isn't cold
I ordered for 2 person. 500g of prawns. braised beef. Market of the day cod fish. In all we spent around aud90 the food is great. Restaurant has attention to details. As we ordered prawns, they gave us 2 separate bowls to wash the hands. Food is non fried. The seafood is fresh. The prawns are sweet and no black stuff in the prawn meat. Only orange and white. Braised beef is cooked for 5 hours according to chef and it shows. Beef is not tough but rightly infused with sauce. Served with potato and mushroom mashed together. Cod grilled fish is not too pan fried. Served with potatoes. I will update photos later to show. The best part. This fine restaurant closes at 10pm. This is near the pelican albany that i am staying. Great food. Tomorrow i am coming again for breakfast
Every meal I have eaten at The 3 Anchors has been great.Lots of early morning coffee, breakfast, lunch, afternoon drinks/nibbles and dinner. The best coffee in town, which I hear comes from Denmark so nice to keep local with such a needed staple!
Lovely location, good service. We had the share-plate for two which was fabulous. They even had my favourite pear cider.
