Al Muleto - Milano

I went here with friends who appreciate a great meal. We went with the suggestion of the owner. The main was a little seasonal bream type of fish. It was cooked truly to perfection and drizzled with a bit of olive oil mixed with lemon and something else (it was a secret unfortunately). The meat was just right, with a hint of grill to it, but so little not to interfere with the other flavors. As I was a guest I did not ask for the price, but whatever it was, it was worth it. Not had a fish so well cooked in the last 20 years. No exception. Desert was a threesome of pie choices. The chocolate pie was amazing. Almost good enough to fly to Italy for. Leave the choice to the owner and you will eat a great meal.

Some of the best seafood I have ever had is right here. A secret for Milanese denizens, this is definitely a secret restaurant for only the most discriminating palate...and anti-tourist. No English spoken here and you won't find hoards of tourists...you will find genuine Milanese dishes and authentic seafood that you may not get everywhere else. Trust the owner and let him serve you whatever the special of the day is, or if you speak enough Italian, go for the seafood risotto or the tuna tartare (heavenly). Served with a crisp Sardinian white wine, this is genuine gastronomy, Italian-style. I hesitate to even write this review as I'd like to keep this place all to myself.

This is a fish restaurant with a restricted menu, average quality of food, in an uncomfortable location and a very noisy ambient. My main course (a fish plate) was so small that I had to order it again. They say that their tuna tartare is magnificent but trust me is nothing special. Desert was also below average. I would try some other place.

Lunch or Easter dinner is always a sublime experience.

Small restaurant decidedly maintained by its owner. great care in service and combinations of dishes. definitely to try. decoration a little too many years quality deserves a somewhat more refined interior.
