My last review got deleted by I presume the manager who was rude and gave my partner dirty prawns and then gave her defrosted prawns that were watery and a so called Marie Rose sauce Ho Ho NOT Marie rose sauce is made of Good quality mayo tomato sauce tabasco and a light dusting of paprika Disgusting food prammmmmm
Fantastic staff and food, the bar man gave me a ring binder so I could check ingredients on the menu, when you have complex dietary needs this made me feel confident in making a meal choice. Had a lovely meal and looked out at a sunset. Fantastic well done guys
Very friendly staff. Food was good I was very surprised we were even able to order food because we arrived very late on a Sunday evening. Food served until 9.00pm. It was presented beautifully and good size portions. I wouldn't hesitate to return here.
I stayed here with my family of 7 for a week in the 4 bed apartment above the pub. The location was fantastic and so close to the beach which my grandchildren loved. Our holiday was added to by the friendliness and helpfulness of all the pub staff and owners Marcus and Cara. Nothing was too much trouble. This was a dog owners paradise with the most dog friendly atmosphere I have ever experienced. My daughter's dog Marlo loved the company and running in the sea everyday. The food was excellent and fairly priced with a great range of beers and ciders. The Blue Anchor was truly a great safe experience to holiday as a family. So close to Minehead Dunster Castle and the Steam railway within an easy walking distance. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Blue anchor as a holiday destination. They also offer rooms and static caravans with lovely sea views.
